Kromme Rijn
Kromme Rijn Region
The Kromme Rijn Region is Utrecht's countryside. It includes the towns of Bunnik, Odijk, Vechten, Werkhoven, Cothen, Langbroek, Vianen, Wijk bij Duurstede, Houten, ‘t Goy, Tull en ‘t Waal and Schalkwijk.
The river landscape meets the Utrechtse Heuvelrug here. Country estates, expansive nature, orchards, the Kromme Rijn River, meadows, cultural history and the floodplains along the Lek River, you will find it all within cycling distance of Utrecht. It starts just outside the city in Amelisweerd, Fort bij Vechten and Speelbos Nieuw Wulven. But that is only the beginning.
