Weekend Tour Utrecht World Heritage
Get ready for some serious time travel on this tour that starts in Utrecht. Below Domplein, you will dive into our Roman past and see remains of a Roman castellum. Then you'll cycle past the forts of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, which lie to the east of Utrecht and protected the city. Alblasserwaard and Lopikerwaard are old polder areas, with peat meadows, riparian banks, pollard willows and farms. The route passes charming villages and fortified towns, such as Leerdam, Nieuwpoort, Schoonhoven, Oudewater and Woerden.
