Vroeg is situated between Utrecht and Bunnik, placing it right in the heart of the Dutch Waterline. The restaurant is housed in a listed farmhouse dating from 1599, which served as an inn until 1735. The farmhouse has been beautifully restored and tastefully decorated, whilst retaining as many of the original features as possible. The open kitchen features its own bakery where fresh, artisan bread is baked every day. Bread is therefore a key part of the menu. The bread is also available to buy to take home from the ‘shop’. There, alongside our own bread, we sell local produce such as jam, honey, juices and artisanal dips.

A new menu is presented every season. The guiding principle is to use delicious local and seasonal produce. Vroeg cooks for you without any fuss and surprises you with the finest local ingredients. They bake fresh bread all day long, and you’re welcome to drop in for breakfast, coffee, lunch, drinks, dinner or a delicious high tea.
