Sights
Lombok is originally a multicultural working-class neighbourhood, with buildings from the early 20th century. The neighbourhood is characterised by its narrow streets and small but cosy working-class houses. Major attractions of the district include the new mosque at the beginning of Kanaalstraat, sawmill De Ster, the refurbished Cereol factory and the Merwede Canal. Excavated by hand, this canal showcases Utrecht's industrial past.
Access
Lombok is within walking distance of Central Station. To get there, take the Beatrix Theatre exit at the station and walk to the left towards the mosque. Cross the street and you're in Lombok!
