On the southeast side of the built-up area of Renswoude lies the imposing Renswoude Castle. The castle has a distinctive design, giving Renswoude a double appearance. The white-plastered back gives the building a real country house look, while the front, with its towers, is more reminiscent of a castle. The castle consists of a main building and two flanking buildings. All three date from 1654 and are built in the Dutch classicist style.

The castle island, surrounded by the moat that turns into a pond, is surrounded by a landscape-style park forest. From the front of the house, an axis of vision runs through an avenue in the park and continues on the east side of Dorpsstraat in the grand canal. This runs up to the Slaperdijk, part of the 18th-century defence line, the Grebbelinie.

From the front of the house, an axis of vision runs through an avenue in the park and continues on the east side of Dorpsstraat in the grand canal. This runs up to the Slaperdijk, part of the 18th-century defence line, the Grebbelinie.

The façade of the main building is dominated by the large tower in the centre with a protruding corner tower on either side. Also on the grounds of Renswoude Castle are a pigeon tower from c1700, the gazebo 'Weesje' to the south of the castle and a children's playhouse, of which only the chimney remains original, both from c1860. The small longhouse farmhouse, also called the 'White House', was built in the first half of the 19th century and is now used as a residence. The longhouse farmhouse built in 1866 a little further away, on Dorpsstraat 1, also originally belonged to the Renswoude country estate.
