One of the biggest comedy festivals in the world is back with even more high-profile stand-up comedy. With 40 (!) shows in 11 days, this year the Utrecht International Comedy Festival (UICF) presents names like Martijn Koning, Magic Tom & Yuri and Glenn Wool. From Feb. 22 to March 4, the UICF will once again put the Dom city in the spotlight with cutting-edge themes.

For eleven editions, the UICF has been bringing people together to laugh. Comedy makes social and controversial topics negotiable. Heavy stuff becomes more digestible and even funny. Because the comedians come from all layers of society and from different cultures, comedy increases mutual understanding. And most importantly: laughing together is fun ... and healthy!

Some of the topics of the shows; Skere Comedy Night is an evening of poverty fun for the flat pockets: tickets are only a few euros. Je Weet Niet Wat Je Hoort; a comedy show in cooperation with experience festival Sencity in which not just your ears, but all other senses are stimulated. In the Stand van Utrecht, our Dom city will be roasted and you will hear what is really going on in the city. Epic Comedy Battle: 5 countries compete against each other in an epic comedy battle. In 'Is it a Bird' Jordan Gray combines her music with comedy in a unique show. This is just a sampling of the many shows the festival is putting on, so keep an eye on this site for the schedule!

The crown jewel of this 11-day festival is The Big Binge of Comedy at TivoliVredenburg on March 3 and 4. Completely in comedy-festival atmosphere you will go and see your favorite (un)known stand-up comedians. You decide which shows you go to and with how many people you go. All while enjoying a snack and a drink.

The Utrecht International Comedy Festival has become one of the most highly regarded comedy festivals in continental Europe. If you like ingenious jokes you really don't want to miss this. Also bizarre philosophies that make you think are included.  All this combined with lightning fast interaction with the audience. Whether you just want to laugh with a beer in your hand, or be touched by a hilarious or sensitive story: the UICF is your place to be.
