The Jufferpad leads through the beautiful landscape of Gelderse Vallei in Utrecht and is wonderful for its tranquillity and combination of culture and nature.
Grebbelinie
The walking route starts at Fort aan de Buursteeg where the Grebbelinie Information Centre is also located. The Grebbelinie consists of a series of earthen fortifications connected by a line wall. Old earthen forts, mysterious dykes, sluices and concrete casemates are reminders of one of the Netherlands' special water lines. Today, the Grebbelinie plays an important role as an ecological zone, home to many plants and animals.

Klompenpaden are hiking trails across farmland in the provinces of Utrecht and Gelderland. They are mainly on unpaved paths and often lead over private, farmland. Click on the button below for more information on the Jufferpad. There you will find, among other things, the points of sale of the leaflets, pick-up points and alternative routes. And then: clogs on, backpack on and go!

Dogs prohibited
The footpath runs partly over private land, where cattle sometimes graze. To avoid disturbing the animals and prevent the spread of animal diseases, dogs are prohibited.
Unpaved paths and trees
Due to unpaved paths, this walking route is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs.

Signposting Jufferpad
Klompenpad the Jufferpad has its own signposting. Follow the pink markings in the shape of a clog. The route is marked in two directions, so it can be walked both left and right.

By car: starting point of the route is TOP Fort aan de Buursteeg. Free parking is available here and catering facilities are available.
Public transport: prefer public transport? Then start from train station Veenendaal-de Klomp.
