Restaurant Voltaire* is situated in the historic main house of Parc Broekhuizen. Here, history, elegance and gastronomy come together. With views across the culinary estate, the team at Restaurant Voltaire* offers you a refined lunch and dinner experience, both in the classic restaurant and on the terrace, where you can look out over the pond and the natural landscape of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Restaurant Voltaire* opened on 1 December 2016 as the first part of the Parc Broekhuizen Culinary Estate. Since then, this venue has developed into a high-calibre gastronomic destination. On 17 December 2018, the restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star, which it still proudly holds. In addition, Restaurant Voltaire* was recently awarded 16 points in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide.

The chef, Falco Lens, grew up in the Betuwe, where he was surrounded by fresh produce from nature from a young age. The seasons and the landscape inspire him every day to work with ingredients of the highest quality. “My mission is to make classic cuisine light and modern.” His cooking style combines classic techniques with refined international flavours, with fresh ingredients at the heart of it all: “What is harvested in the morning is on the plate that very same evening.”

Together with maître d’ Julian Schweigl, sommelier Nils Snitselaar and the entire team at Restaurant Voltaire*, they bring this philosophy to life every day. Thanks to the strong collaboration between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, flavourful dishes, carefully selected wines, personalised service and genuine hospitality come together naturally. In this way, the team creates a contemporary gastronomic experience in which quality and a focus on seasonal produce take centre stage.
