Visit Heidestein sheepfold

The old potting shed from 1884 is set up as Utrechts Landschap's information centre. Various leaflets are available there. For small children, there is the Beestenbos (Beast Forest) where children can get to know the various animals living in our forests. For older children, there is the Sheep Route (1.2 km) with questions about everything that grows and lives on Heidestein. The questions change quarterly and the last sign of the route (no 12) has the answers at the back. Both children's activities can also be visited when the information centre is closed.

Throughout the year there are activities such as Fox Hunt at Easter, the Sheep Shearing Festival in summer and the Christmas Party in December.

De Schaapskooi is located in the middle of the forest of Heidestein estate. At the end of the road Hoog Kanje in Zeist, follow the signs 'Schaapskooi' (about a 10-minute walk). View the website of Utrechts Landschap.
