The tomb of the Van Nellesteijn family is a neo-classical-style viewing tower on the highest point of the Donderberg (36 m) in Leersum, with the tomb of the Van Nellesteijn family at its foot. In 1818, the construction of the tomb of the Van Nellesteijn family was completed by architect J.D. Zocher jr. This was commissioned by Cornelis Jan van Nellesteijn, the then owner and occupant of knight's manor Broekhuizen. In 1832, he was interred in the mausoleum. In 1917, the twelfth and last family member was interred. After this, the entrance to the tomb was bricked up. The tomb is 14 m high and gives a nice view of the surroundings. Several signposted routes pass by the tomb.
The watchtower is accessible from Maarsbergseweg and Burg. van den Boschlaan.
