Roman trail
Stroll around the former military fortress Fort near Vechten. The fort now houses the interactive Waterliniemuseum. Cultural activities take place here. Walk across the large complex to Castellum Fectio, an old Roman fort and get to know history!
Roman watchtower
During the construction of Fort near Vechten, remains were found from Roman times. Over two thousand years ago, they built castellum Fectio (fort to defend the northern border of the Roman Empire, the Limes) here. The fort was strategically located where the Vecht split off from the Rhine.
