Walking in Spakenburg Fishermen's route
Spakenburg consists of two villages: Bunschoten, originally a farming village, and Spakenburg, a fishing village. This route introduces you to the fishing village of Spakenburg. You walk past the old fishermen's cottages, the shipyard and the fish auction. Spakenburg has its very own character, is unique for its traditional costumes and museum harbour with authentic fishing boats.
During the Saturday market on the picturesque Spuiplein, you will find delicious snacks for the weekend and the latest fashion items with matching step-outs. 50 different market stalls, surrounded by inviting terraces and unique boutiques, make your visit an enjoyable outing!
