Explore the area on foot, through the polder, across farmland and along the scenic Oude Rijn river. Enjoy the meandering waters of the river and the clean lines of the vast polders. You start your adventure at Boerderij de Boerinn and walk towards Woerden through the peat meadow area, home to numerous meadow birds. In Woerden, you reach the idyllic Brediuspark, a green gem in the middle of the city. From there, follow the Jaagpad along the Oude Rijn, once the northern border of the Roman Empire. The exploration through the typical Dutch landscape continues to De Hollandse Kade, an area steeped in history of the battle between the Count of Holland and the Bishop of Utrecht. You continue your way through Kamerik, where you pass the town hall. In short, this route offers a wonderful opportunity to explore nature and experience a piece of history.
