Roman Limes stage 1A: On the road with Lucius in Woerden

Route description

• The starting point of the route is in front of the entrance of the Stadsmuseum woerden (Kerkstraat).
• Walk along the side of the church along Kerkstraat to Kerkplein.
• Then go to the entrance of the car park(next to the Hema) and descend by lift to floor -1.
• Leave the car park via the Meulmansweg exit and turn right outside.
• Follow Kruittorenweg to the windmill and turn left on Wilhelminaweg.
• Turn right into Julianastraat and turn left again at the end (near the Singel).
• Walk via Prins Bernhardlaan back to Wilhelminaweg and cross it into Havenstraat.
• Turn right at Grote Steeg and left again at the end into Wagenstraat.
• At the end, turn right into Rijnstraat, towards Kasteel. Before the castle, turn left into Plantsoen.
• Follow the road up and walk via Hoge Wal into Nieuwstraat and turn left on Meulmansweg.
• The tour ends at the Library entrance.
