Walk through the peat meadow area west of Utrecht over grassy quays through the Green Heart, along nature trail Boterwal, through the landscape of Kockengen with long straight roads, narrow dykes, farms, seesaw mills and willow lanes and along the Oude Rijn to Woerden, where the Green Heart beats.
Floris V trail
Dutch landscapes and a refresher course in patriotic history. That's what the popular Floris V path (LAW 1-3), which runs from Amsterdam to Bergen op Zoom, also known as 'the Diagonal Path', offers. Nice detail is that half of the path runs along grass quays, tiend roads and towpaths, which are often specially opened to walkers. Stage 04 of the Floris V path goes from Nieuwer ter Aar to woerden over 20.6 km.
