The Treek route
A cycle tour of the beautiful De Treek-Henschoten estate, one of the largest private estates in the Netherlands. On Den Treek-Henschoten, the dry nature of the higher Utrechtse Heuvelrug gradually merges with the wet nature of the lower Gelderse Vallei. This makes it a very varied nature reserve and very special! Enjoy the Utrechtse Heuvelrug at its finest.
The route starts at the Landgoed Den Treek-Henschoten or at the VVV in Amersfoort, where the route is for sale. Don't have your own bike? Then it is possible to rent a bike from one of the bike rental companies in Amersfoort and its surroundings.

*LET OP: due to several incidents with a wolf, the province of Utrecht advises (from August 2024) to be very careful in the forest area of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The urgent advice is not to visit the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug (municipalities of Leusden, Zeist, Woudenberg and the Utrechtse Heuvelrugte) with small children.
