Rietveld walking route in Utrecht
In honour of the Style Year in 2017, Centraal Museum Utrecht developed a special Rietveld Walking Route. This walk leads from the Centraal Museum along Utrecht highlights from the work of Gerrit Rietveld (Utrecht 1888 - Utrecht 1964). These include Rietveld's birthplace, his workplace, the block of houses on Erasmuslaan and, of course, the Rietveld Schröder House. Besides these monuments, the route also includes the Centraal Museum itself. The museum has the largest collection of Rietveld objects in the world, including the Rietveld Schröderhuis. The walk continues past highlights in Utrecht such as the Dom and the Oude Gracht.
