The Orangery
The Orangerie is the ideal place to take a break after a walk or bike ride through the Utrechtse Heuvelrug . Come for a nice cup of coffee with homemade cake, enjoy an extensive lunch with a cup of soup and sandwich or salad, or end the afternoon with drinks and snacks. You are most welcome! High Tea
From 15.00 you can also stylishly enjoy a real English High Tea with patisserie, various savoury snacks, sandwiches and various types of tea at the Orangerie. An afternoon of catching up with friends while enjoying delicious snacks and sweet treats.
Castle garden picnic
Or imagine for a moment you are a member of the noble Van Nassau family when you spread the picnic blanket in the Slot's beautiful English garden. Book a picnic at the Orangerie. On the agreed day and time, a wagon will be waiting for you at the Orangerie, filled with delicious dishes that the kitchen staff has prepared for you with love and attention. Guided tour
A guided tour of Slot Zeist is an experience. Experience the noble atmosphere of yesteryear and wander around the Slot's beautiful Style Rooms. Guides from the 't Gilde Zeist Foundation will take you to the rooms of Slot Zeist to which you would not normally have access and tell you about its history, architecture and residents. The tours last approximately one hour.
Exhibitions
The organisation of exhibitions started in 1964. Back then, this did not take place in the current Cultural Wing on the right, but in the main building. Since 1964, more than one million people have found their way to the exhibitions in Slot Zeist. Currently, changing exhibitions are organised throughout the year.

Sculpture route
There is much to see and discover not only in the Slot, but also around it. Since 2015, there has been a surprising sculpture route connecting the Slot with the centre of Zeist. Modern and contemporary works of art adorn the Slot garden, the Slot's driveway, the Brother and Sister Square, the public hall of the town hall and the Walkart Park.

Slot Zeist was built in 1685, originally as a summer residence, as the Heuvelrug had been used for holidays for many years .
