In the middle of the Kamerik countryside, in a converted cowshed, you'll find The Chamberick Distillery: a sturdy and small-scale whisky distillery where the fire is literally stoked every morning. This is where delicious drinks - from powerful whisky to smooth gin and fragrant liqueurs - are created using traditional and sustainable methods.

Distilling whisky with fire and passion
Master distiller Laetitia de Hoog does everything herself - from distilling to bottling - and that shows in every detail. At the heart of The Chamberick is a wood-fired still, which Laetitia uses to make one cask of whisky in around seven weeks. Visitors are welcome to see, smell and taste the process. During a guided tour, she talks enthusiastically about her craft.

From Scotch whisky to Dutch schnapps
The range is surprising and pure. The single malt whisky is distilled according to Scottish recipe from 100% Zeeland barley malt. In addition, The Chamberick also makes spicy gin, chocolate liqueur and pear schnapps made from fall fruit from its own orchard - all with a local story.
