Between the historic towns of IJsselstein and Montfoort lies the polder Neder-Oudland. At the end of the eighteenth century, the characteristic farm 't Groenewoud was built there. After three generations of livestock and arable farming, Jochem and Gerline Lekkerkerker decided to change tack. The couple now combines livestock farming with a Bed and Breakfast with a beautiful and rural feel.

Bed and Breakfast
With the conversion of the sheep enclosure into a beautiful Bed and Breakfast on the farm, a long-cherished dream came true. The B&B has been given an atmospheric and rural feel. You are welcome to stay overnight in the B&B. One night, a weekend, a week or for a longer period. It's all possible. During your stay, feel free to take a look around the yard and stables and get to know the farm and country life. Ask about the possibilities for trips and activities in the immediate surroundings and in the region. The Bed and Breakfast offers two flats, each suitable for four people. Both flats have fully equipped kitchens, a warm seating area and access to a private garden. One flat has a bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub the other has a shower only. Internet and TV are of course available and guests can use the laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

Farm & Meat
Changes were also made on the farm, after the couple fell in love with the robust beef cow Aberdeen Angus, better known as the Black Angus, in Canada. The traditional dairy cow was traded for this beautiful breed. Anyone visiting the farm now sees a herd of over eighty animals grazing on the floodplains of the Hollandse IJssel, as long as the weather permits. During the winter, the cows stay in a so-called potting shed. It gives the cows maximum freedom of movement and there is no need to separate mother and calf. All this ensures 100 per cent quality meat.

Farm shop (open every Saturday from 10.00 to 16.30)
