The temporary exhibitions of Museum IJsselstein (MIJ) always focus on a topical theme, a topic that plays a role in society. Contemporary artists penetrate to the core and invite you to approach it from different perspectives. In addition, MIJ tells the story of IJsselstein. We do this not traditionally chronologically, but through areas of emotion. In this way, objects from the past suddenly become much more tangible. Because although the world has changed a lot, human feelings remain the same. Freedom, pride, hope: these are emotions that connect us, from the Iron Age to today.
MIJ invites you to walk around with an open mind, to be surprised and amazed. Engage in conversation, immerse yourself and go home changed.
