Royal history
Eethuys-Café De Generaal is housed in an old station building with a royal history. The small station was built in 1870. With Soestdijk Palace, the park and estate of Groeneveld Castle and Hoge Vuursche Castle just a stone's throw away, the station was widely used by the royal family who were given a Royal Waiting Room. The Jugendstil features in the historic building have been carefully preserved and refer to the days when the royal family and the wealthy of Baarn used 'De Generaal' as a starting point for their journey. The old platform now serves as a terrace, from where you overlook the Baarn Forest.

A walk in the woods, a bike ride along Lage Vuursche, soaking up culture in Soestdijk or on a scavenger hunt with the kids. Located in the Baarnse Bos, amidst nature and culture, De Generaal is an ideal place to meet up.
