History
Fort H was a bunker built during the Franco-German war of 1870. The reason was to expand and improve Muiden's establishment system. In the period between 1874-1878, bombproof shelters, shelters and depots were constructed in the entrenchments. A unique feature of these bunkers is that they could hardly be seen from the air or front. Fort H served as a storehouse for ammunition and other military equipment. For this reason, Fort H also has the heavy steel doors.
