Paushuize Palace was once built as a home for the only Dutch pope, Adrian VI. It never became his home, as he died shortly after his appointment as Pope. When evening falls, Paushuize and the University building at the head of the Trans come to life. Light artists Jan Hein Daniels and Willem Hoebink make the building 'breathe' through abstract light images behind the windows. The light fills the windows with fragments of old souls, suggestive figures and poetic light images. Above the front doors, a barn owl and a white dove appear at unpredictable moments, a graphic metaphor of both properties.
