The medieval castle can accommodate groups of up to 350 people and offers you both indoor and outdoor spaces. The castle's old courtyard features a gazebo and an attractive terrace. The castle island also lends itself perfectly to inspiring outdoor activities. The castle also has two towers (donjon and burgundy tower) with various rooms. The layout offers space for both plenary meetings and events with several simultaneous sessions. Naturally, the castle has all the necessary technical facilities and our own, local catering will ensure that you and your guests lack for nothing.

The castle also has a Green Key certificate, which guarantees that it meets the highest sustainability standards. So you and your guests can enjoy a perfectly organised, carefree and responsible day.
Accessibility
Kasteel Duurstede is located in Wijk bij Duurstede, close to Utrecht. The location is easily accessible from every region in the Netherlands. Due to the rustic character of the castle park and the preservation of the unique flora and fauna, parking in the park and directly adjacent to the Castle is not permitted. However, there are good parking facilities available at a few minutes' walking distance, such as at CDW Wijk bij Duurstede.
Public day catering
From 1 April to 1 November, Duurstede Castle is regularly open on Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00 for day catering and live music. Duurstede Castle's courtyard is then open to the public, provided no other event is taking place at that time. Keep an eye on our socials for the latest updates.
