Chalet Helenaheuvel aims to introduce its guests to regional and seasonal quality products. Hidden in the Kaapse Bossen of Doorn, you will find teahouse and restaurant Chalet Helenaheuvel. Since 1932 (!) Chalet Helenaheuvel has been a familiar address and household name for hikers and day trippers and one of the starting points for a walk in the Kaapse bossen.

This atmospheric restaurant has a spacious terrace and offers tasty lunches and surprising 'thé complets', among other things. With the thé complet you can enjoy all kinds of sweet and savoury delicacies and unlimited tea in the afternoon, with a wide choice from our tea selection. A cosy and especially fun way to catch up with friends or family.

Private events, such as meetings, receptions, private dinners and parties

Helenaheuvel is also perfect for a high or afternoon tea, bridal shower, wedding location or wedding party. In addition, meetings are regularly booked at Helenaheuvel.

A piece of history

The hill (on which the Chalet is built) dates from earlier centuries and is named after Hendrik van Swellengrebel's daughter Helena. Swellengrebel bought the Schoonoordt estate and its forest in the mid-18th century. He named the area the Kaapse Bossen.
In 1932, the then owner of the Kaapse bossen, Mr Klein, a lawyer in Doorn, had the Chalet built as a teahouse for walkers. So now the teahouse has been thoroughly renovated and is available for festivities and business meetings.
