About Soestdijk Palace
In 1650, the middle part of the current palace was built as a private country house of the mayor of Amsterdam. In 1815, it then came into the hands of Crown Prince William II and his Russian wife, Princess Anna Paulowna. At that time, the two side wings were added and it became a real summer palace. Even after that, the royal family continued to use the palace. First as a summer residence and from 1937 Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard were the permanent residents. After their death in 2004, the palace lost its function as the residence and working palace of the House of Orange.

About Soestdijk Palace

Since December 2017, the Soestdijk estate and Palace have been back in private hands. Under the title 'Made by Holland', the new owner will develop Soestdijk in the coming years into a stage for innovation and excellence of entrepreneurial Holland complemented by hospitality and other public and accommodation functions. Soestdijk Palace also offers a magical setting for business and cultural receptions and meetings.
