Every year, hundreds of children walk the Fort aan de Buursteeg treasure hunt. The outdoor treasure hunts of wooden soldiers Heinz and Cornelis are popular. Every year, hundreds of children walk the Fort aan de Buursteeg treasure hunt. The outdoor treasure hunts of wooden soldiers Heinz and Cornelis are popular. Yet for years, visitors have been asking if there is also an indoor scavenger hunt, for instance if it is cold, or wet, or because it makes the exhibition (even) more fun for children. That scavenger hunt is now here! Wooden soldier Kobus takes children through the exhibition on their way to the prize chest.

A child (6-12 years) sets off with a tracking book + pencil, on their way to find 10 closed (real) military crates. All of them may be opened and a question is hidden in each crate. The tasks invite a close look and listen to objects, film and animations in the exhibition. If the questions are answered correctly, the researcher or group reports to the counter with the solution. This is rewarded with a prize, which is in the final box.

Entrance for adults is €6.- For children €3.50 A scavenger hunt booklet with a reward/prize costs €2.- Parents/guardians can indicate at the counter whether the children work together with 1 scavenger hunt booklet, or whether they all go for their own booklet + prize. The route is designed so that the exhibition visit and scavenger hunt can be done (together) in the same order. We hope for lots of good solutions! (And that everyone gets to know the Grebbelinie along the way)
