Canal cruise through the city canal

Sail along the highlights of IJsselstein every Saturday and Sunday with Vrouw Berthe and Mr Gijsbrecht. The trip starts and ends at the jetty at Walkade 2-4 opposite Museum IJsselstein. You will make a tour of IJsselstein past many monuments, such as a former tar peeling shed, both St Nicholas churches and the corn mill De Windotter. You cross over to the Overtoom, as was done in the past. A special way to discover IJsselstein's past.

A beautiful cruise on the Hollandse IJssel to restaurant Rivers Marnemoende at Jachthaven Marnemoende. There you will have a delicious lunch. After lunch we sail back.

Lunch cruise to Lopikerkapel
You’ll sail to the hamlet of Lopikerkapel along the Hollandse, Kromme and Enge IJssel rivers, taking in the beautiful countryside. You’ll have lunch at Café de Roode Leeuw in Lopikerkapel. After this lunch break, you’ll set off on the return journey. A lovely, old-fashioned day out. Tip: bring a bottle of water and perhaps a small snack for the journey.

Lunch cruise to Montfoort
You sail downstream on the Hollandse IJssel, from the urban area of IJsselstein through the vast polder area of the Lopikerwaard to the heart of the town of Montfoort. Along the way, the skipper tells about IJsselstein and Montfoort history and what to see. This centuries-old sailing route contributed to the development of IJsselstein. After a relaxing cruise, lunch will be served at Het Oude Stadhuis.

Kindervaart (6-12 years) with narrator on board
During school holidays, we sail through the city canal on Wednesday afternoons with a narrator on board. A cruise especially for children, always accompanied by an adult. Every Wednesday afternoon during the summer holidays. For children aged 6-12 and always accompanied by an adult!

Storytelling cruises together with Historische Kring IJsselstein
During these cruises, special attention is paid to the old IJsselstein as seen from the water. Over the centuries, water played a crucial role in the city's development. In a few hours, a new world will open up for you! The cruise route goes through the city canal and across the Hollandse IJssel. The cruise starts from the jetty in the park on the Overtoom opposite the Basilica. Every Tuesday evening during the summer holidays.

Museum boat trip to Vreeswijk
A boat trip along the Hollandse IJssel to Vreeswijk, including a visit to the Museum Shipyard. A working shipyard with a visitor centre where young and old alike can discover all aspects of inland shipping in beautiful Vreeswijk.

Special autumn cruise: a boat trip past the trees

Tailor-made tours

Until the end of October, Yselvaert will make a tailor-made canal cruise, possibly with lunch, for weddings, groups, company outings and children's parties, for example. Maximum 20 passengers. These cruises are sold at an hourly rate for specific routes. Rate: € 65 (per boat) for the 1st hour. Each subsequent hour € 55.
