Art is everywhere, including on the streets of IJsselstein. Public art is accessible to everyone. Have you ever wondered what a work of art in your neighbourhood means, why it is there or who made it?
The Rondje Kunst op Straat, is a fun cycling route (or long walk -12km-) along artworks in IJsselstein's public spaces. The route goes through the beautiful, historic city centre and through various neighbourhoods. At each artwork, you will automatically hear the story behind the work once you are in the neighbourhood.
The artworks often also tell us something about the place where they are located or about IJsselstein's history or traditions. Sometimes they remind us of events or make us think.
