In 2017, the Tourism Region Strategy 2018 - 2022 was drafted to further strengthen the region and the leisure sector and boost employment in the region. The objectives focus on connecting and presenting the region as a destination. The (re)distribution of tourists across the region is also part of this, for example by encouraging combination visits and thus also extending the length of stay in the region. We want to manage the predicted increase in tourism in this way so that the burden remains limited and the entire region benefits from spending.
