Museum bunker Leusden
The museum bunker on Langesteeg is a German bunker built in 1944-1945. The German army used the Grebbelinie to stop the advancing Allies. In late 2014, the bunker was set up as a small museum. The bunker itself is a simple concrete structure with two-metre-thick walls, a loophole and a door. With an interior space of 6 by 3.5 metres and a height of 2.30 metres, it is excellent for setting up a small museum. Information panels take visitors through the wartime history of this strategic place that served the German defence line.

Nature reserve
Experience the stories of local residents and soldiers at the time of World War II at this site. And discover which special plants and animals have found their home in the nature reserve that the Grebbelinie is today. The bunker is actually in one big open-air museum. All the elements from the turbulent war days are still present. The Valley Canal, the reconstruction farms, the fields of fire, the bridge that had been blown up and the line dyke in which a trench has been rebuilt. At the former camp of the Germans, soldiers' benches have been reinstalled.
