Sypesteyn Castle Museum

Kasteel-Museum Sypesteyn is one of the youngest castles in the Netherlands. Around 1900, squire Henri van Sypesteyn (1857-1937) had the castle built on the foundations of older buildings, as a home for his collections. Today, you will find everything here for a surprising day of culture.

Castle gardens
The castle gardens with their ancient rose varieties and unusual trees and shrubs are a tribute to ancient Dutch garden art. Every spring, the garden is resplendent with thousands of flowering stinces. Take a lovely stroll through the garden and grab a coffee and cake on the terrace.

Museum collection
The interior of the castle has remained largely intact, and room after room you will discover the most beautiful objects. Inside the castle, enjoy the collection of 18th-century family portraits and Dutch porcelain, clocks, Delftware, terracotta statues, Oriental porcelain, silver, special glassware and lacquerware.
