Ice cream parlour Ruitenbeek
Gert & Annette Verweij make delicious artisanal farmhouse ice cream in many varieties and flavours. The milk comes from their own farm and the cream comes from the Kopermolen in Stoutenburg. In the summer months, up to 300 litres of ice cream are sometimes made per week. Only natural ingredients are used; no artificial aromas, colourings or flavourings. The farm has a small shop selling its own products: beef, potatoes, eggs and ice cream.
In addition, the farmhouse ice cream is sold to restaurants in the Leusden, Amersfoort, Hoogland, Hooglanderveen, Driebergen region and at two supermarkets: Jumbo in Leusden and Plus in Amersfoort. Some chefs come specially to the IJshoeve to order very exclusive ice cream such as garlic ice cream or champagne ice cream.
Ice cream farm Ruitenbeek is located on the estate of Stichting de Boom in Leusden on the Heiligenbergerbeek.
