Merwestein Sports and Events Complex

Merwestein is perhaps the largest swimming complex in the Utrecht region. You can go wild in the splashing attractions or relax in a bubble bath with TV screen. You can go on safari with your child in the aqua jungle or keep fit in the competition pool. Merwestein offers plenty of swimming fun for the whole family.

Our state-of-the-art slide with LED lighting and speedometer, tropical ornamental walls, audio and visual effects and a pool cinema provide a total experience that goes beyond swimming. It's a complete day out.

On Fridays, we always like to make it a party: from 19.00 you can come and have a fun disco swim!

BRASSERIE H2O

Need to relax after your swim or want to enjoy some food while your child has swimming lessons? On the first floor of the complex is Brasserie H20. This modern brasserie with partial views of the pool caters to the conscious visitor and has an extensive menu with juices, sandwiches, salads and even evening meals.

Swimming pool Merwestein is ideally located in the centre of Nieuwegein and is therefore easily accessible for both Nieuwegein residents and those from the region. A tram goes from Utrecht and several buses stop within walking distance of our swimming pool. Coming by car? There is ample parking space in the municipal car park.
