Fort Werk aan de Groeneweg
Walking through the historic trenches of Werk aan de Groeneweg will take you back in time, as the defence work still has all its original shape. The World War I infantry position consists of a double trench with earthen walls, 55 group shelters and beautiful fruit trees.
The site is a great playground for children. You can enjoy strolling here, crawl through a trench, play hide-and-seek and walk an exciting tracking and experience route of about 2 km with Private Vendrik as your guide.
