For four centuries, under an orchard on Wickenburghseweg in 't Goy, the foundations of the medieval castle of the Lords Ten Goye, an important family with great influence, have been preserved. In the 13th and 14th centuries, they determined the balance of power in the region from this castle.

The last trees were cleared in 2018 and a new house was built next to the entrance to the castle grounds in 2020. At that time, work also started on making the castle grounds accessible to interested parties.

There is nothing left of the castle itself but the country...

Nothing of the castle itself remains but the landscape still betrays the place where history was made in the Middle Ages. Since 2021, the grounds have been open to visitors (May to August, every day between 8am and 8pm). In the coming years, the Ten Goye Heritage Foundation will install markers and information boards to show interested parties the special history of the castle and its inhabitants and tell the stories.
