In the atmospheric basement of Montfoort's former town hall - anno 1375 - you will find Galerie Montfoort. A special place where history and art meet. After a long search, initiators Piet van der Wildt and Marcel Wammes found their dream location here, right in the historical heart of the city.
From sculpture to graphics and ceramics
Since its opening in May 2022, more than 3,400 visitors from home and abroad have found their way to the gallery. There, you admire the work of both gallery owners: sculptor Piet van der Wildt works millions of years-old stone with pure craft. Marcel Wammes is a multi-design-artist artist with work in graphics, ceramics, sculpture and paintings. They also show work by other artists.
