Soestdijk Palace Garden

The gates of Soestdijk Estate will be opened. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, walkers, architecture and nature lovers, and all other interested parties are welcome to go on their own adventure through the Palace Garden and enjoy the greenery and history at the estate. The catering facilities in the Orangery also open their doors and sunny terrace for coffee, lunch and more.

Palace garden pass gives unlimited access
Through the website of Soestdijk Palace, interested parties can order their own 'Palace Garden Pass' for €15, which gives them unlimited access to the extensive palace gardens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 31 August 2025. In this way, all seasons can be enjoyed: in spring the rhododendrons bloom, in summer the trees offer coolness, in autumn one can see the landscape colouring beautifully, and even on a cold winter's day the Palace Garden is a nice place for a fresh walk. It is also possible to buy a day ticket (€2.50) for the Palace Garden visit at the door.

Special walking route with highlights
Before visiting the Palace Garden, visitors can download a suggested route along the various special places, works of art, natural phenomena and monumental buildings on the estate via the Palace Soestdijk website. For instance, walkers can take a look at the Wilhelmina chalet, Zocher's sightlines and the royal greenhouses. The map encourages them to admire the Totleben oak tree, discover the Rhododendron passageway, and get to know the Danube girl in the Springer garden.

Complementary activities
Complementary activities for young and old are organised in the garden and Orangery, including themed tours for adults, nature discovery tours for children, craft afternoons, and more. A free scavenger hunt can be picked up at the box office, and for a small fee, parents with children take an IVN backpack to inspect plants and insects together.
