Garden Party at Slot Zuylen

The way to experience a castle as it should be! During the Garden Party, you will get a guided tour, play old-fashioned garden games and settle down with a picnic basket in the castle garden, where live music will be played. Just like the castle dwellers of yesteryear, you don't have to fill your own picnic basket; Slot Zuylen's kitchen staff will do that downstairs.

With the Garden Party, you can book a complete day out. Whether you go on a date for two or want to go out with the whole family. First admire the castle at your own leisure and play a game of croquet or kubb in the garden. Then join a guided tour of the beautiful castle gardens. Then pick up your well-stocked picnic basket and spread your blanket in a nice spot in the castle gardens. At the gazebo, the music ensemble will be ready for the musical entertainment.

In your picnic basket you will find homemade, vegetarian delicacies. Our kitchen staff has prepared them with a lot of love, using vegetables and fruits from our own garden as much as possible. And you can taste it: luxury sandwiches, fruit salad, tarts, savoury snacks and organic apple/pear juice. Alcoholic and soft drinks will be sold at the party itself. For children, we adapt the snacks and put a gift in the basket.

Times
- You are welcome from 11.00 am for, for example, admiring the castle, a game of croquet or a walk through the beautiful surroundings.
- The guided tour starts at 14.30 (optional).
- You can pick up your picnic basket at 15:30 and the party ends at around 17:00.

- Entrance to castle and garden and possibly temporary exhibition

Practical information
- There are some tables and chairs and some picnic benches on the picnic area, but it is of course best to sit on the grass on the rug we provide.
- Please note that parking is not included. You can get an exit ticket at the shop.
- If the weather is unexpectedly wet, Slot Zuylen will provide a nice space in the castle where you can sit with your picnic basket and enjoy the music in all dryness. So no worries about the weather!
