Guild Walking Tours in Amersfoort

Sorry, this activity has ended

The Amersfoort Guild has resumed its city walking tours through the lovely medieval city centre of Amersfoort, with a few ‘coronavirus adjustments’.
These walking tours will take place:

Daily
starting at 11:30 & 14:00

Tours start at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe tower. Each walking tour lasts approximately one hour and forty-five minutes. The tours will take place regardless of weather conditions. The route goes past sights including the famous city wall houses (Muurhuizen).
In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, we will accept a maximum of eight participants per group for the time being. We will be avoiding enclosed spaces and extremely narrow streets. For now, we will also not enter monuments such as the Koppelpoort gate. Luckily, that still leaves plenty of great sights to see! In all other regards, we will be complying with the guidelines issued by the RIVM and the Dutch government.…

  • You must have a valid ticket. It is not possible to purchase a ticket from the tour guide using cash.
  • The guide will ask all participants if they are experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms. You will be permitted to take part only if you are symptom-free. If you are experiencing any such symptoms, we recommend that you go home. The cost of your ticket will be refunded to your account.
  • The guide will go over the instructions that will be in place during the tour with you.

During the walking tour

  • Participants are personally responsible for maintaining at least 1.5 metres of social distance between one another and between themselves and the guide. The guide will maintain this distance as well. Respect one another's space.
  • During the walking tour, follow the instructions of your guide when it comes to where to walk and so on.
  • In the event that participants fail to follow these guidelines, the guidelines issued by the Dutch government or the instructions of the guide, or if the guide feels unsafe, the guide will end the tour.

We are counting on everyone's best efforts and goodwill, so that all of you can enjoy a great walking tour of the city!

Because space on the tour is limited, we recommend that you buy a ticket from the online ticket shop.
Tickets are also available for purchase from the VVV (the tourism office near the tower).

All tours begin at the base of the Onze Lieve Vrouwe tower.

Tickets: Tickets cost €5 p.p. and €4 for children under 14 years. Tickets are sold at the VVV and online in the ticket shop.
