Vijfheerenlanden Local Market – Meet the Farmer Day
‘Our Food Week’ will take place from 3 to 10 October 2026. This national week focuses on where our food comes from and who produces it. This year, the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden is organising the national closing event with the Vijfheerenlanden Local Market in Leerdam during Meet the Farmer Day. On Saturday 10 October, from 10.00 to 16.00, visitors to Leerdam town centre can discover a wide range of artisanal products from local farmers and businesses, from cheese and locally grown fruit to homemade jam. The regional market not only offers plenty of opportunities to taste and buy, but also to meet the people behind these products and find out more about where our food comes from.
