JAN BEUVING | DEKPUNT (TRY-OUT)

On 2 December 1966, mathematician Bertus Brouwer was crossing the road in Blaricum. He was killed by a car. On Thursday 1 October 2026, Jan Beuving will perform a cabaret show called ‘Dekpunt’ in Baarn. Hopefully he’ll survive it. Jan will explain what these two facts have to do with each other – and what a ‘dekpunt’ is. As always, he’ll be bringing a load of new songs, a stack of clever monologues and Tom Dicke on the grand piano. “It’s put together like a mathematical miracle,” wrote *de Volkskrant* about his previous show, *2025-1*. Nonsense, of course: maths is logical, miracles aren’t. But it did earn him a Poelifinario award for the best cabaret show of the season. “Beuving has never been better,” according to NRC. It’s up to Jan to prove otherwise.
