The safari ship De Blauwe Bever departs from the Rijnkade in Rhenen to the Wageningse Boven polder. On the way, the guide tells all kinds of details about the river and the landscape.
Seen from the Rhine, the moraines rising along the river are striking natural monuments. A beautiful and unique riverbank area in the Netherlands. At the former brickworks "de Bovenste Polder" in the Wageningen floodplain, we dock for a circular walk of about three quarters of an hour. There is much to see in this area, including remnants of the former brickworks, as well as new nature and many birds. Those paying close attention can see that the beaver is also active here, leaving tracks on the banks of both the river and the side channel.
You are advised to bring binoculars and wear sturdy footwear.
