The Dom Tower: under restoration
700 years of construction and restorationÂ
The first stone of the Dom Tower was laid more than 700 years ago. Since then, the tower has become the leading symbol of Utrecht. That this medieval structure is still standing today owes everything to its ongoing maintenance. This is no easy task. For seven hundred years, labourers of all kinds climbed the tower. The exhibition takes you back in time through the history of the Dom Tower's restorations.
